A set of 2 handmade large ceramic bowls, each with a unique blue dripping pattern. Created by machine and hand-made techniques in our workshops in Eindhoven & Nantes. Each bowl is unique.

This handmade large ceramic bowl features a unique blue dripping pattern, crafted in our workshops in Eindhoven (Netherlands) and Nantes (France). Every bowl is made individually using our MOCA dripping machine, so no two bowls are ever identical. Whether you are treating yourself or looking for a unique gift for a food lover, this handmade ceramic bowl is a thoughtful and lasting choice.
At 350ml, this bowl is the ideal size for breakfast, muesli, soups, salads, and everyday use. Its low and wide profile makes it particularly versatile at the table.
We offer two pattern options for this handmade ceramic bowl:
Each bowl is handmade individually, so slight variations in colour and shape are part of the process – and part of the charm. You can also order our large ceramic bowl set of 2 if you want a matching pair.
First, we programme a specific dripping rhythm into our MOCA machine. Then, we drip blue-tinted porcelain inside a plaster mould with the machine. Next, we pour liquid white porcelain over the pattern by hand. The plaster absorbs the water over 4 to 6 minutes, forming a solid porcelain wall. After that, we remove the excess porcelain and let the bowl dry overnight. The next day, we trim the edges and stamp ‘Moca’ on the base. Finally, we bisque-fire at 1020 °C, glaze the interior with a food-safe transparent coating, and fire a second time at 1240 °C.
The MOCA project was born from our graduation research at the Design Academy Eindhoven. It is part of the MOCA Tableware project by Studio Joachim-Morineau, presented at the Dutch Design Week 2024 and 2025 in Eindhoven. Today, we continue this work in both our Eindhoven and Nantes workshops.
We carefully wrap each bowl in tissue paper and place it inside a sturdy gift-ready box. In addition, all orders are insured against transport damage – if anything arrives broken, we send replacements immediately. Free shipping applies to European orders over 90 euros. In accordance with EU consumer rights, we accept returns within 14 days of delivery.

What is the capacity of the ceramic bowl?
The bowl holds exactly 350ml – ideal for breakfast, muesli, soups, salads, and everyday use. Its dimensions are 5cm in height and 13cm in diameter.
Is the ceramic bowl dishwasher safe?
Yes, the bowl is dishwasher safe. We recommend hand washing with hot water and soap to preserve the glaze. The blue pattern does not wear off as it is made of porcelain and embedded in the body of the piece.
Where is the ceramic bowl made?
Every bowl is handmade in our ceramic workshops in Eindhoven (Netherlands) and Nantes (France) by Studio Joachim-Morineau, using our “dripping machine”.
What is the difference between full and open pattern?
The full pattern has a dense, layered dripping covering most of the exterior. The open pattern has a lighter, single-pass stripe from the top downward. Both are unique; no two bowls are ever identical.
